  1. How do I transfer domains I have registered through other registrars to my account at myid.ca?
    Click on 'transfer' in top menu then on:

    'To transfer your domains from another registrar to your account at MyID.ca, please click here'

    Now you have 2 options: Transfer one domain only or transfer 2 or more domains belonging to a certain registrant.

    1. To transfer one domain only, enter the domain name or ID where specified and submit.For example enter domain.ca or 635564
    2. To transfer more than one domain belonging to a registrant, you have 2 choices:
      • Enter the name or ID of one of the domains belonging to that registrant, check box that says 'all domains' and click submit, or,
      • Enter registrant ID and check box that says 'all domains' and click submit.

    Then follow instructions.

  2. Can you outline transfer process steps?
    After you initiate transfer, you need to confirm this transfer with CIRA (You will receive an email message from CIRA in this regard to the admin contact on record). The transfer is then complete.

  3. How much does transferring a domain cost?
    You can consult the pricing page for a listing of all current prices.

  4. Does the name registration on record get extended upon transfer?
    Yes. The registration term gets extended by one year.
