- What is a domain credit?
A domain credit is a credit used to register, renew, or transfer .ca domains.
- How does MyID.ca use domain credits?
Whenever you place a transaction that involves .ca domains registration, renewal, or tansfer, we look first at how many domain credits you have in your account balance with us. We'll use 1 domain credit as cost for each registration or renewal year. We'll also use one credit for each transfer. The amount that remains at checkout for all transactions above is basically the cost of transactions after domain credits are depleted. If there is enough domain credits in your account to cover all above transactions, then no further charge will be incurred for these.
- What are the benefits of using domain credits instead of paying for transactions each time?
The main advantage is that domain credits can be purchased in advance and in bulk for significant discounts. The more domain credits are purchased at one time, the steeper the discount earned is.
As domain credits do not expire, they are a perfect solution for resellers and those with a large portfolio of domains.
- When do domain credits expire?
Domain credits never expire. They remain valid in your account until they are used.
- Where can I buy domain credits and see discounts?
You can buy domain credits here. The various discounts are listed based on number of domain credits purchased.
- I bought many domain credits before and now do not have need for them anymore. Can I get a refund?
No. All domain credits transactions are non refundable.
- Can I use my domain credits to buy hosting, forwarding, design, or email services?
No. Domain credits can only be used towards .ca domain registration, renewal, and transfer.
